On April 26th I had a shoot with Star Struck Dezines for their children’s clothing range. The idea of shooting 13 children terrified me!! But my aim with the shoot was not to be too formal with posing, just shoot the kids being kids, have fun and keep it natural.

The babies were the easy part of the day, there were 6 all up, except for the coming and going sunlight through the tree – that was my fault I chose the spot. Sometimes they were ok, other times the poor kids were being blinded. I had the parents behind me trying to get their kids to smile for the camera, which half worked inbetween all the teething babies munching on everything in site, but one little girl hated me..she did nothing but glare at me!! haha

The older kids were harder. They ranged from 2-5years [I think]. To start off there was a picnic of fairy bread and cupcakes [provided by Cherry Pie's Cake & Cupcakes For All Occasions] which tasted as good as they looked! The kids just ran around, like kids do, which is fine..some would do some posed shots like below but others didn’t want too and for the first time ever my nephew wouldn’t stick around for 2 seconds to have his photo taken. Normally he’s bringing me my camera to have his photo taken!! So it ended up with me in the bushes trying to get some action shots! I’m really happy with the photos though and it was definitely a unique shoot for me. Look forward to doing it again sometime in the future =)
