William Street Festival – 18/03/12

Come along to the second annual William Street Festival! A free family and community event, the William Street Festival is a celebration of the arts and culture of William Street.

Food stalls, markets, music and art will all form part of this years William Street Festival which, for the first time, will extend all the way into Northbridge down to Francis Street. Local artists will showcase temporary exhibitions, local designers will sell their unique gifts and locally made fashion and local cafes will extend their businesses into temporary alfresco dining spaces for the day.

Two stages will showcase original bands including Rocket to Memphis, Kwachala, Natalie Gillespie and Lucky Oceans, the Bartlett Brothers, Village Vibe, Grace Barbe and Club Qachria.

Stand-up comedian MC Bonnie Davies and many roving performers will keep the festivities flowing.

In celebrating the cultural diversity of William Street, the Festival will feature food stalls sampling local delicacies, arts and crafts, market stalls, live art and plenty of free activities for the whole family.

Leave the car at home, bring your friends and celebrate at the William Street Festival!

OnWilliam are excited to be adding to the festivities of this years William Street Festival with a slather of creative offerings.

Join the party and shop at over 50 stalls from local artists and designers. Browse the Perth Sneaker Swapmeet and barter for some rare kicks. Try your hand at 1up’s BASEketball competition. Get crafty with Perth Origami Workshops. Listen to the sounds at Noise Pollution Records as they roll out onto the street for their first ever Gutter Gig. Trade letters with Paper Mountain Artists at their crafted Post Office Letter Exchange. … and if you still have some energy hunt out 10 amazing local artists in the street side exhibition BOXED, and be entertained with outrageous competitions, dance lessons and more at the Feisty Stage.
